Where is your jewellery made?
All Mamie Coco pieces are handcrafted in our atelier in Braga, Portugal, using traditional techniques and made in small batches or to order.
What materials do you use?
We only work with high quality materials, made to last a lifetime (and more!): freshwater pearls, natural gemstones, precious metals and 14ct gold-filled.
Is your jewellery hallmarked?
Yes. All precious metal pieces are made in accordance with Portuguese regulations and certified by the INCM Assay Office. We hallmark all applicable items as a mark of authenticity and quality.
Some earlier pieces were created in our Bristol studio and bear UK hallmarks from the Birmingham Assay Office, including the Common Control Mark, which is recognised in Portugal.
Are your pieces made to order?
Most pieces are made to order in our atelier. This allows us to work in small, considered batches and minimise excess production.
How long will my order take?
As each piece is made by hand, please allow a short lead time before dispatch.
This is usually 2-5 working days for gold-filled items and 3-6 weeks for solid gold items.
Some items are ready to ship, such as our solid gold one-of-a-kind pieces. If this is the case, it will be clearly stated on each product's page.
If you need something for a specific date, feel free to get in touch — we will always do our best to accommodate.
Do you offer custom pieces?
Yes. You are welcome to enquire about bespoke pieces through our custom order form. A few details — such as what you have in mind, preferred materials, and budget — are enough to begin the conversation.
02. Shipping
What Shipping Methods Do You Offer?
All our orders ship with an Express & Tracked service. We generally request a signature upon delivery, so please ensure someone is available to receive the package.

How Long Does Shipping Take?
Shipping times depend on your location and your chosen items (if made to order or ready to ship at time of ordering).
Once shipped, most orders to Portugal arrive within 1-2 days, to the EU within 1-3 days and to USA/Canada and Asia within 2-5 days.
For the rest of the world, we expect orders to arrive within 3-10 working days.
Do You Offer International Shipping?
Yes, we ship to many international destinations! Shipping times and fees vary by country. Please check our shipping policy or enter your address at checkout for more details.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
All prices include VAT and any applicable duties for orders shipped to Portugal, the EU, and the UK. You will not have to pay anything else.
For orders outside these regions, VAT is removed from the item price. Customs duties or taxes may apply depending on your country — these are charged upon arrival and remain the responsibility of the recipient.
How Can I Track My Order?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your package in real time on our website or the carrier’s website.
What Should I Do If My Package Is Delayed or Lost?
If your package is delayed, please check the tracking information for updates. If you have any concerns or it hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, contact us at info@mamiecoco.com or through our contact page, and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
03. Returns
What is Your Return Policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of purchase, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
Customised products, including those who have been resized at your request (such as solid gold rings), cannot be returned.
How Do I Start a Return?
To initiate a return, please contact us by email at info@mamiecoco.com or through our Contact Page. We will then guide you through the process.
Do I Have to Pay for Return Shipping?
Return shipping costs may vary depending on the reason for the return. If the return is due to a defect or our error, we will cover the shipping costs. Otherwise, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees.
When Will I Receive My Refund?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are typically processed within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow additional time for the transaction to reflect in your account.
Can I Exchange an Item Instead of Returning It?
Yes. If you’d like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please contact us. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
04. Orders
How Do I Place an Order?
You can place an order directly on our website by adding items to your cart and proceeding to checkout. Follow the prompts to enter your shipping and payment details, then confirm your order.
Can I Modify or Cancel My Order After Placing It?
We process orders quickly, but if you need to make changes or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order is made or has shipped, modifications may not be possible.
How Do I Check My Order Status?
After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking link. You can also log into your account on our website to check the status of your order.
What Should I Do If I Received a Wrong or Damaged Item?
If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for a replacement or refund and cover any return shipping costs if necessary.
Do You Offer Gift Wrapping?
Yes — all orders are carefully presented in our signature packaging.
For something even more special, we offer an additional gift wrapping option, including each box individually wrapped with a beautiful ribbon and a floral postcard with envelope, with the option to add a personalised message.
Simply select gift wrap at checkout.
How is the jewellery packaged?
Each order is carefully prepared in our signature packaging. Pieces are presented in a jewellery box, designed to protect and hold them over time. We also provide a polishing cloth and a jewellery care guide.
Gift wrapping is available as an additional option, including ribbon and a handwritten postcard with envelope.
Can I send an order as a gift?
Yes, we can send directly to the recipient. Ensure their delivery details are correct, mark your order as a gift on checkout, and add optional gift wrapping and a message at checkout.
